Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on September 9 that it has launched the "Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct Four Seasons Insurance," which covers risks that are more likely to occur in each season.
The Four Seasons Insurance is a mini insurance product that allows customers to sign up once per season and receive coverage until the end of that season. It features a practical structure, including only the essential coverage needed for each period.
Customers can easily enroll for seasonal risks without complicated procedures, signing up for each season as needed. The seasonal periods are defined as follows: Spring (March to May), Summer (June to August), Fall (September to November), and Winter (December to February). Each period provides coverage tailored to common illnesses for that season. For example, in spring, when there is a lot of fine dust and pollen, coverage includes respiratory diseases such as allergic rhinitis. In summer, when water activities and travel are common, coverage includes enteritis, food poisoning, and heat stroke.
For a 40-year-old male, the premiums are set at 4,230 won for spring, 7,730 won for summer, 7,720 won for fall, and 11,410 won for winter. Additionally, customers who have enrolled in the past year as of the application date are eligible for a 5% discount on premiums when re-enrolling.
A representative from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance stated, "Although different risks exist in each season, it is not easy for customers to prepare for all of them. This Four Seasons Insurance offers tailored coverage for each season with a simple application process and reasonable premiums, making it an ideal product for customers seeking practical coverage."
