On September 4, Councilor Woo received the "2025 Best Legislative Award for Cultural Welfare Policy" in the cultural welfare policy category at the "2025 K Global Star Culture and Arts Awards" ceremony, held at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul.

The "K Global Star Culture and Arts Awards" is a prestigious ceremony hosted by the Korea Newspaper Reporters Association and organized by the Federation of Journalists, recognizing individuals who have led national development and contributed to society in fields such as politics, society, culture, arts, science, and sports.


As president of the Andong City Council's Cultural Welfare Research Association, Woo was highly praised for delivering tangible results, including expanding accommodation infrastructure to boost the local tourism industry, establishing protection measures for at-risk youth, and developing policies to address welfare blind spots.
