Rewater World, a company specializing in eco-friendly water-saving devices, announced on September 8 that inquiries from local governments and public institutions about its water-saving products have surged due to the recent nationwide water shortage, including in the Gangneung area. The company explained that as concerns over severe drought and water resource depletion grow, social interest in water conservation is increasing, leading to rapidly rising demand for eco-friendly water-saving solutions.
A representative from Rewater World stated, "Triggered by the water shortage in Gangneung, numerous local governments and public offices are inquiring about adopting water-saving devices," adding, "Our water-saving system is highly regarded not only for saving water but also for its substantial contributions to carbon reduction and environmental protection."
Rewater World's water-saving device is based on a 'washbasin water recycling system' that purifies and reuses water from washbasins. Its eco-friendly design continuously filters used water for reuse, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions during water treatment processes. It also fully complies with the quality and facility standards of the Waterworks Act and the Public Restroom Act. Installing these devices has produced positive effects in various areas, including achieving carbon neutrality, protecting water resources, providing environmental education, and fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Rewater World is currently promoting free installation of its water-saving devices at major universities such as Yongin University, Gangnam University, Gachon University, and Ajou University, as well as at related public institutions in the Incheon area, including the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, and Incheon City Hall. The company is also in discussions with Seoul Metro, the Korean Red Cross Blood Center, and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, with plans to expand nationwide in the future.
