Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on September 8 that it held the "2025 Fall Semester (September) Foreign Student Admission Ceremony" at the Jinrikan Convention Hall in Busan on August 29.
This admission ceremony was organized to help foreign students adapt to university life in Korea and to share Dong-Eui Institute of Technology's vision as a global campus. The event was attended by President Kim Youngdo, Director of International Cooperation Kim Taekyung, key administrators, department heads, full-time faculty members, and more than 270 participants in total.
The ceremony proceeded in the following order: opening remarks, national pledge, first greeting as a Dong-Eui member, academic report, president's welcome address, introduction of faculty, screening of department promotional videos, freshman survey, education on foreign student residency and regulations, and commemorative photo session.
This semester, foreign students from six countries newly enrolled, further expanding multicultural exchange and an international learning atmosphere on campus. To support their smooth adaptation, the university has prepared early adaptation, mentoring, and safety education programs, providing comprehensive support for both academic and daily life.
President Kim Youngdo stated, "Dong-Eui Institute of Technology provides a global educational environment where students from various countries can learn and grow together," adding, "We hope that international students will not only achieve academic success but also grow into talents who gain a broad understanding of Korean society and culture."
Director of International Cooperation Kim Taekyung emphasized, "The university will spare no effort to ensure that new international students can settle stably in all aspects of their lives."
Recently, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected as a university for training foreign care workers and plans to operate an associate degree program in care services through the K-Global Department's K-Care major. The university aims to strengthen the international competitiveness of international students by providing Korean language education, major-related courses, and global field training.
