Chosun University Hospital is further strengthening its status as a research-oriented hospital. With the establishment of the Biomedical Research Institute last year, the hospital has accelerated the expansion of its research infrastructure and the development of institutional foundations. More recently, it has officially launched a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) service support system aimed at enhancing the professionalism and credibility of clinical research.

According to Chosun University Hospital on September 8, the Clinical Research Coordinator service support system was introduced to improve the quality of clinical research and strengthen researcher-centered administrative support. CRCs affiliated with the hospital systematically support researchers throughout the entire clinical trial process. Applications can be made at any time for various types of research, including Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT), Sponsor-Initiated Trials (SIT), Observational Studies (OS), and Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS), making the system highly versatile and effective.

This is particularly meaningful as it reduces the administrative workload for researchers and creates an environment conducive to research immersion. Previously, researchers had to handle the entire clinical research process themselves, but with dedicated CRC staff providing comprehensive support, researchers can now focus on their core clinical and analytical work.

Ultimately, this is expected to contribute to ensuring consistency and accuracy in the operation of clinical trials. At the hospital level, it is also anticipated that standardization in research management will be achieved, thereby securing both the quality and reliability of clinical trials.

Ko Jaeung, Director of the Biomedical Research Institute at Chosun University Hospital (Professor of Ophthalmology), stated, "The implementation of the Clinical Research Coordinator system is an important turning point that creates an immersive environment for researchers and enhances the credibility of the hospital's research." He emphasized, "Based on Chosun University Hospital's research capabilities, we will grow into a world-class medical research institution and faithfully fulfill our role as a national healthcare R&D hub."
