A report of an unidentified boat in Jeju prompted an investigation by the Coast Guard, police, and military units.
At 7:56 a.m. on September 8, a report was filed with the Coast Guard regarding an unidentified boat near the women divers' changing facility in Yongsu-ri, Hangyeong-myeon, Jeju City.
At around 8:20 a.m., officers from the Jeju Maritime Police Station arrived at the scene and confirmed the presence of the boat, discovering fishing rods, six life jackets, and Chinese bread on board. The Coast Guard, local police, and military units are conducting a joint investigation to determine whether the case involves illegal entry or a maritime accident.
