The 2025 Goyang Asia-Oceania Road Congress Organizing Committee (Chairman Ham Jingyu) announced that it has officially begun preparations for the congress by extending official invitations to key figures in the global road and transportation sectors.
With the theme "Future Roads: Hyper-connection," this congress is drawing attention as a venue where global road and transportation experts will gather to engage in wide-ranging discussions on the future of the road industry, technology, and policy.
The invited participants include representatives from road and transportation-related ministries and public institutions from 19 countries across Asia and Oceania, including Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia, and New Zealand. Major international associations such as the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA), the World Road Association (PIARC), and the International Road Federation (IRF) have also been invited. Through these efforts, the congress aims to strengthen international networks and lay the groundwork for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises in the road sector to expand overseas.
Major events include the opening ceremony and welcome reception (October 28), gala dinner (October 30), and closing ceremony (October 31). In particular, at the Heads of Road Authorities (HORA) meeting, there will be presentations on the current status in each country, Q&A sessions, and discussions under the theme "Sustainable (Eco-friendly) Road Infrastructure Management for Climate Change Response."
In addition, a variety of programs such as major sessions, technical sessions, the REAAA General Assembly and Board of Directors Meeting, PIARC Technical Committee Workshop, IRF Global Workshop, technical tours, and cultural excursions will focus on key agendas in the future road sector, including mobility innovation strategies and sustainable road industries.
Registration for the congress will be open until September 30, and detailed information on the program schedule and speakers can be found on the official website.
