"Anticipated to Become a Training Center and Boost the Local Economy"
Imsil-gun in Jeonbuk has completed the construction of the "Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province International Archery Training Center" in the Geumam-ri area of Osu-myeon.

The newly completed training center was built with a total budget of 5.2 billion won, comprising 1.6 billion won from the national government, 2.4 billion won from the provincial government, and 1.2 billion won from the county budget. Construction began in August 2023 and was completed in July this year.
The center is a four-story building with a total floor area of 1,217 square meters. The first floor features a lobby and lounge area, while guest rooms are located on the second to fourth floors. The facility includes one accessible room for individuals with disabilities and 25 standard rooms, allowing up to 52 athletes to stay simultaneously.
The nearby Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province International Archery Field was completed in 2018 to commemorate athlete Park Sunghyun's Grand Slam achievement. It is an international stadium with a total floor area of 2,714 square meters and a land area of 73,683 square meters, featuring a main stadium of 29,400 square meters and a three-story competition management facility of 2,675 square meters.
With the completion of the center, it is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing athletic performance by systematically attracting major events such as international and national competitions and supporting long-term training for domestic and foreign teams visiting the Jeonbuk International Archery Field.
To improve the convenience of using the archery field, the county has continuously addressed and upgraded operational issues by installing audio systems, safety fences, LED electronic display boards, waterproofing the roof, and making other minor facility repairs.
By continuously upgrading both major and minor facilities for smooth event operations, the county expects to attract major competitions and, through the training center, to firmly establish itself as a true international hub for archery.
Until now, athletes faced inconveniences and concerns about performance decline due to a lack of accommodation and amenities during competitions and training camps. However, with the completion of this center, athletes can now engage in long-term training in a comfortable environment.
This expansion of sports infrastructure for athletes and visitors is expected to not only improve athletic performance and serve as a springboard for becoming an international archery hub, but also greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
County Governor Sim Min stated, "We will provide the best facilities and services to training teams visiting the International Archery Training Center and do our utmost to establish the county as a central hub for archery training."
