Busan Bumin Hospital will hold the September Bumin Health Class for local residents at 2 p.m. on September 11 in the main building’s second basement auditorium.
This session, titled "A Refreshing Daily Life: Guide to Overcoming Urinary Incontinence," will be led by Lee Jeongwoo, Head of the Department of Urology. The lecture will broadly cover the causes and types of urinary incontinence, uncomfortable symptoms that appear in daily life, as well as treatment and prevention methods.
In particular, the session will highlight that urinary incontinence is not simply a result of aging, but is associated with various factors such as childbirth, lifestyle habits, and underlying medical conditions. It will also present practical lifestyle improvement tips that individuals can implement themselves.
Lee Jeongwoo emphasized, "The starting point for treatment is to understand urinary incontinence accurately instead of hiding it," adding, "I hope that through this lecture, many people can overcome their discomfort and regain confidence in their daily lives."
The Bumin Health Class is a monthly community health lecture hosted by Busan Bumin Hospital, and anyone can participate free of charge. Detailed schedules are available on the hospital’s website.
