Pre-Sale of New Booster Pack Launching Next Month
Devsisters announced on September 8 that the trading card game (TCG) "Cookie Run: Bravers Card Game" will participate in "New York Comic Con," which will be held from October 9 to 12.
New York Comic Con is the largest pop culture, comics, animation, and gaming convention in North America, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually. The Cookie Run card game will have a booth at the Korea Pavilion, operated by the Korea Creative Content Agency. Devsisters explained that this opportunity was made possible by the game's achievement of distributing over 10 million cards in the North American market since its launch in July, demonstrating its potential to contribute to the spread of Korean pop culture.
The booth will feature the new booster pack, "Age of Heroes and Kingdoms," which will be officially released locally on October 10, as its main concept. The booth will be decorated based on the storylines of ancient hero characters and will display rare cards designed to appeal to collectors. Visitors will be able to meet local TCG players and experience a variety of pop culture elements, the unique characters of the Cookie Run intellectual property (IP), and the game's vibrant card designs. The new booster pack will also be available for pre-purchase at the booth one day before its official release.
Devsisters will also operate offline beginner workshops for those new to TCGs. Over the four days of the convention, the company will introduce the basic rules and gameplay in an easy-to-understand manner to approximately 2,000 participants. After completing the session, all participants will receive a promotional card featuring the popular local character "Shadowmilk Cookie."
Meanwhile, one day before the event opens, Devsisters plans to explore opportunities for expanding the Cookie Run IP and achieving long-term growth by meeting with local retail companies and content collaboration partners through a business-to-business (B2B) export consultation event organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency.
