Bodyfriend announced on September 8 that it received an Innovation Award at IFA 2025, the international consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany.
Bodyfriend was awarded the IFA Innovation Award for its first-ever healthcare robot product capable of voice interaction with users, the 'Quantum AI Beauty Capsule.' The IFA Innovation Awards is a new global awards program established by IFA this year, selecting the best products among more than 1,800 participating companies.
Among 16 categories, Bodyfriend's product was chosen in the 'Emerging Tech' category, which recognizes technological innovation in artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and AR·VR fields.
The Quantum AI Beauty Capsule was recognized for its high level of innovation as a next-generation healthcare robot that combines both medical and beauty care functions. Its main features include an AI massage map generation system, an LED light therapy system, and advanced robotics technology.
In particular, the AI massage map generation system provides personalized healthcare by interacting with users much like a dedicated therapist. The healthcare robot converses with users to assess physical conditions such as areas of fatigue, sleep patterns, and pain points, learns their preferred massage styles, and automatically creates a customized massage map.
It is also noteworthy that LED light is emitted from a specially designed arch-shaped sliding module, enabling facial skin and scalp care without the need for separate beauty devices. In addition, the inclusion of 'robotics technology' that stimulates the body's walking structure to encourage dynamic physical movement was evaluated as a new approach.
A Bodyfriend representative stated, "Following nine CES Innovation Awards, this IFA Innovation Award demonstrates that Bodyfriend's advanced technology is recognized in the European market as well," adding, "We will not rest on this achievement and will further devote ourselves to research and development of healthcare robots that incorporate robotics technology and our own AI technology."
