SM Entertainment announced on September 8 that the clock for the group EXO is set to start ticking again.
At around 1:26 a.m. that day, an image was released through EXO's official social media account, featuring a design reminiscent of a total lunar eclipse in space, along with the phrase "DECEMBER 2025."
The image also included the words, "WHEN WE BECOME TRUE ONE, A NEW WORLD AWAKENS." This message connects to EXO's original universe, which sparked the "K-pop universe" trend at the time of their debut in 2012.
SM Entertainment stated, "EXO plans to resume group activities after Sehun, who is currently fulfilling his alternative service, returns. The group will reconnect with fans in various ways."
