According to Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital on September 8, nurse Ji-hye Kim (34) heard an announcement seeking urgent medical assistance for an emergency patient while on board an Air Seoul flight from Fukuoka, Japan to Incheon last month on the 8th.

However, as there was no doctor on the flight, Kim immediately identified herself as a nurse and volunteered to help without hesitation.

The patient was a Korean male who suffered from epilepsy and was experiencing a full-body seizure along with difficulty breathing.

Kim measured the patient's blood pressure and pulse, continued with emergency care, and stayed by his side until his condition stabilized and improved.

Thanks to her actions, the flight was able to safely arrive at its destination in Seoul.

Kim's ability to respond calmly in such a situation was due to her experience as a dedicated internal medicine nurse, where she had cared for and treated patients with serious conditions.

The story of Kim's good deed began to spread through the airline and passengers, and the airline expressed deep gratitude for her courage and dedication by presenting a letter of appreciation to the hospital.

Kim commented, "My first thought was that I had to help," adding, "I simply did what any nurse should do, and above all, I am relieved that the patient was able to recover safely."
