LS Electric Unveils Strategic Renewable Energy and Data Center Products in U.S. to Target North American Market

Participation in 'RE+ 2025' and 'NECA 2025'
Showcasing Strategic Products Including Next-Generation ESS Platform
Big Tech Data Center Orders Reach 400 Billion Won This Year

LS Electric is targeting both the North American renewable energy and data center markets by showcasing its next-generation ESS (Energy Storage System) platform and DC (Direct Current) power solutions as strategic products.

From September 9 to 11 (local time), LS Electric will participate in North America's largest renewable energy exhibition, "RE+ (Renewable Energy Plus) 2025," held in Las Vegas, United States. The company will also take part in "NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) 2025," North America's largest power industry exhibition, held in Chicago from September 13 to 15.

At RE+ 2025, LS Electric will set up an exhibition space spanning 20 booths (186 square meters), where it will present its next-generation ESS platform, ultra-high voltage transformers, and DC solutions.

LS Electric's next-generation ESS platform is a proprietary product developed based on its core technologies in power conversion and motor control speed, as well as its manufacturing capabilities in industrial drives (inverters) for power electronics that reduce energy consumption. In particular, the core power conversion component, PEBB (Power Electronic Building Block), is modularized in 200kW units, allowing for easy installation by stacking “blocks” to match the required capacity. Each PEBB unit can also operate independently.

The global ESS market is expected to grow from 44 GWh in 2023 to 506 GWh by 2030. The U.S. ESS market, in particular, is anticipated to see rapid growth due to the replacement demand for aging infrastructure, the expansion of renewable energy, and new power grid investments driven by data center construction. According to market research firm Global Market Insights, the U.S. ESS market is projected to more than double, from $106.7 billion (about 148 trillion won) in 2024 to $263.5 billion (about 367 trillion won) by 2032.

At "NECA 2025," the company will showcase medium- and low-voltage AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current) power equipment for data centers, as well as UL-certified distribution solutions, within a 16-booth (149 square meters) exhibition space. LS Electric also plans to strengthen partnerships with local power and electrical construction companies.

LS Electric will deploy a full lineup of high-end power equipment tailored for North American data centers. The company explained that its world-class DC power solutions are expected to attract significant attention from data center industry stakeholders.

Recently, LS Electric has expanded its business scope beyond supplying power solutions to big tech data centers, now also entering the microgrid distribution equipment business for data center electricity supply. Since the beginning of this year, orders related to North American big tech data centers have already reached nearly 400 billion won.

The company will also showcase actual UL-certified distribution panels. LS Electric began developing UL-certified products over a decade ago to target the North American distribution market and is the only Korean heavy electric company to have obtained UL certification. Leveraging this, the company has won most of the power infrastructure construction projects for the North American factories of major Korean companies such as LG, Samsung, SK, and Hyundai Motor, thereby expanding its local business.

An LS Electric representative stated, "In the United States, the world's largest battleground for AI and the power industry, LS Electric has been recognized by major big tech companies for its technological prowess and reliability. We will use our world-class, high-end renewable and power solutions to further strengthen our brand recognition," adding, "With products tailored for the global market, we will use the U.S. as a bridgehead to lead the global smart power market."
