Seongdong District Launches "CGV Package" as a Thank-You Gift for Hometown Love Donation Program

Seongdong District in Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Wono) announced on September 7 that it has signed a business agreement with CGV (CEO Jeong Jongmin) and, starting this month, has newly launched the "CGV Package" as a thank-you gift for the Hometown Love Donation Program.

Seongdong District Launches "CGV Package" as a Thank-You Gift for Hometown Love Donation Program Seongdong District launched a new 'CGV Package' as a thank-you gift for the Hometown Love Donation Program starting in September. Photo by Seongdong District, showing CGV Wangsimni.

The "Hometown Love Donation Program" is a system in which individuals who donate to regions other than their registered address receive tax deductions and thank-you gifts equivalent to 30% of their donation. The Hometown Love Fund, created from these donations, is used to support socially vulnerable groups, improve welfare, and promote the development of culture, arts, and healthcare in the donation region.

According to a satisfaction survey on Hometown Love Donation Program thank-you gifts conducted by Seongdong District in July, 69.6% of donors selected mobile gift certificates as their preferred thank-you gift. In response, the district actively reflected donors' opinions and added the more convenient and practical mobile gift certificate, the "CGV Package," as a thank-you gift option.

The newly launched "CGV Package" consists of a single movie ticket and a medium-sized beverage. When participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program, 30% of the donation amount is credited as points, and the CGV Package can be purchased for 15,000 points.

The purchased CGV Package is sent as a mobile gift certificate via text message and can only be used at CGV Wangsimni. Donors can use the package by making a payment directly at the kiosk on-site or through the CGV App. The mobile gift certificate is valid for two years and is non-refundable.

CGV, which collaborated on the launch of the new thank-you gift, joined hands with Seongdong District to realize the social value of promoting a culture of individual giving, which is the purpose of the Hometown Love Donation Program. This collaboration is expected to further encourage participation in the program by offering a wider variety of thank-you gifts to donors who show affection and interest in Seongdong District.

In addition to the CGV Package, Seongdong District also offers the Seongdong Love Gift Certificate and wristwatches as thank-you gifts, and plans to continue improving and developing new thank-you gifts through ongoing communication with donors.

Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong District, stated, "We have broadened the range of thank-you gift options for those who support Seongdong District and participate in the Hometown Love Donation Program," adding, "We will continue to discover practical, donor-centered thank-you gifts and strive to make Seongdong District an even better place to live through these valuable donations."
