The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has opened its 28th branch in Suwon.
The foundation announced on the 7th that it held an opening ceremony for the Suwon Gwanggyo Branch, located within the Yeongtong Gwanggyo headquarters in Suwon, on the 5th.
With the opening of this new branch, the foundation plans to strengthen its role as a comprehensive financial services institution that supports the success of Gyeonggi Province residents, not limited to just guarantee support. By operating two branches in Suwon, a city with a population of over 1 million, it aims to provide on-site, community-focused financial services.
Suwon has one of the highest numbers of businesses in the province, and, in particular, has the largest number of business owners in sectors closely tied to daily life, which directly drives demand for guarantees.

Over the past five years, the number of new guarantees issued in Suwon has also remained among the highest in the province. With the opening of the Suwon Gwanggyo Branch, the consultation demand that was previously concentrated at the existing Suwon Branch will now be distributed, enabling small business owners in the Yeongtong and Jangan areas to receive guarantees and consulting services more quickly.
Following the opening ceremony, the foundation held a meeting to discuss the challenges faced by local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners struggling with sluggish sales and financial difficulties due to the economic downturn.
The foundation plans to actively support small business management by expanding working capital guarantees, providing tailored consulting, and strengthening cooperation with relevant organizations.
Si Seokjung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, stated, "Through financial support that can be felt on the ground, we will work closely with Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, and the Gyeonggi Provincial Council to ensure that small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises in the province can continue to grow and achieve a soft landing."
