Full Closure in Both Directions from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
On September 6, the city of Geoje in South Gyeongsang Province announced that from the night of September 8 to 11, the Geoga Bridge, which connects Jangmok-myeon in Geoje and Gangseo-gu in Busan, will be completely closed to traffic during nighttime hours.
During this period, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following day, vehicle traffic in both directions will be restricted along the approximately 13-kilometer section between the Geoje Tollgate and the Gadeok Tollgate on Geoga Bridge. Normal traffic will be allowed during daytime hours.
This closure is to conduct a detailed safety inspection of the bridge in accordance with vehicle load requirements, which is carried out every five years.
The city of Geoje stated, "This is a measure in line with the regular inspection to ensure the long-term safety of Geoga Bridge," and requested that drivers use the detour route.
