The program will run until October 31, 2025, and will target 16 participants, including pregnant women between 16 and 26 weeks of pregnancy and prospective fathers, who registered in advance at the public health center in August.
The program consists of practical sessions and special lectures in which both pregnant women and their partners can participate. It includes a variety of hands-on activities such as prenatal yoga, special lectures for prospective parents, a singing bowl experience, cooking classes, and making attachment dolls. In addition, there will be educational lectures on pregnancy and childbirth to help participants prepare for childbirth, strengthen emotional bonding, and prevent postpartum depression.
The classes will be held at the Buksam Health Lifestyle Support Center and the Donghae Cooking Academy, with a team of professional instructors providing a wide range of practical information to support pregnancy and childbirth.
Kim Hyejeong, Head of the Health Policy Division, said, "The Prospective Parents Health Class is a meaningful program that helps parents prepare for their new roles," adding, "We will continue to expand customized education programs to promote health at every stage of life."
