On September 5, DL Construction announced that its board of directors had appointed Yeol Seonchan as the new CEO.
This appointment is seen as a move to overcome the crisis in the construction industry and strengthen the company’s fundamentals by placing a proven leader with extensive field experience and capabilities at the forefront.
Born in 1972, Yeol, the new CEO, graduated from the Department of Architecture at Hongik University and joined Daelim Industrial (now DL E&C) in 1996. He has worked at seven different sites, including residential, office, hotel, and research facilities. He served as site manager for major projects such as Acro Seoul Forest, E-Pyunhansesang Seochang, and Pyeongchang Olympic Village. In 2021, he was appointed as an executive in charge of the housing business division at DL E&C, overseeing the entire housing business.
Based on his diverse project experience, CEO Yeol is regarded as an expert in safety and quality management. With safety emerging as the top priority in the construction industry recently, his appointment is interpreted as DL Construction’s commitment to strengthening a management system focused on safety and quality.
