Through this agreement, the province will hold the "Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Small Business Accommodation Promotion" for about four weeks from October 1 to 28, targeting around 500 accommodation businesses in the province. Each participating business will receive advertising support worth 1 million won.
This initiative aims to help small accommodation business owners with limited experience in using online platforms to expand their online sales channels. It is also expected to strengthen the marketing capabilities of small business owners and increase the number of overnight tourists.
Governor Kim Jin-tae stated, "Through this agreement, we will be able to provide promotional support to 500 accommodation businesses in the province." He added, "In the past, the province tried to develop and operate its own delivery and tourism guide apps, but the results were disappointing. It is ideal to leave areas where the private sector excels to the private sector."
He continued, "I consider it a great fortune that we are able to join hands with the number one tourism platform in Korea," and emphasized, "We will do our best to help the province become the top tourist destination in Korea."
