Over 100 people participated in the event, including members of the association, special forces officers from the Namhae Regional Coast Guard, and volunteers.

The Special Mission Merit Association has been carrying out annual underwater cleanup activities since establishing its disaster rescue team in 2012. This year's activities were also attended by local officials such as Lee Namil, Director of the Busan Regional Veterans Office; Seo Jongmo, Director of General Affairs for Busan City; and Lee Jeongju, Director of Busan Veterans Hospital.

Participants collected debris discarded in the sea and on the beach near Jungri Breakwater, contributing to the improvement of the local marine environment.

Lee Namil, Director of the Busan Regional Veterans Office, stated, "I express my respect and gratitude to the Special Mission Merit Association for continuing to serve the community with the skills they honed during their military service. I hope these activities help maintain clean seas befitting Busan’s status as an international maritime city."
