Chungnam Nambu Elderly Protection Director Strongly Refutes "Anti-Human Rights, Illegal Operations? Distortion of Facts"

"Malicious Claims Rooted in Disciplinary Discontent...
Do Not Tarnish the Honor of Elderly Protection Workers"

Chungnam Nambu Elderly Protection Director Strongly Refutes "Anti-Human Rights, Illegal Operations? Distortion of Facts"

Regarding allegations of illegal and anti-human rights operations at the Southern Chungnam Elderly Protection Agency (Chungnam Nambu Noinboho), Director A has issued a strong rebuttal, calling the claims a "distortion of the facts."

On September 5, Director A released a statement to Asia Economy, saying, "I have dedicated over ten years to preventing elder abuse in the field of elderly welfare," and added, "I have already undergone an audit and administrative action by the Chungnam provincial government for certain mistakes, and I apologize to the affected care facilities. However, the claims of anti-human rights and illegal operations are unfounded distortions."

In particular, Director A addressed former case review committee member Kim Seyong, stating, "He is expressing malicious resentment toward the agency due to his wife's disciplinary dismissal," and refuted, "The claim that the director arbitrarily operated the agency illegally is completely groundless."

Director A continued, "If there was any abuse of power, the victims should be clearly identified. Anonymous accusations only tarnish the reputation of the staff," and emphasized, "From now on, I will no longer remain silent."

Previously, on September 3, former committee member Kim held a press conference in Nonsan and raised allegations of anti-human rights and illegal operations against Director A.

Director A stated, "The Elderly Welfare Act strictly prohibits the disclosure of work-related secrets. Nevertheless, conspiring with certain organizations to disrupt operations must stop immediately," and appealed, "Elderly protection agencies and care facilities work toward the same goal. Actions that fuel conflict ultimately undermine the field of elderly welfare."
