The 'risk assessment' is a procedure that identifies potential hazards and risks in the workplace, evaluates their likelihood and severity, and then establishes and implements appropriate countermeasures.
This assessment, which will be carried out independently by each workplace, will include the identification and improvement of hazardous and risk factors, on-site visits for guidance and advice, and inspections to ensure compliance with obligations to prevent serious industrial accidents.
Previously, to ensure the smooth progress of the assessment, the city held preliminary training sessions for 181 supervisors and responsible public officials over two days, September 3 and 4, at the city hall's main conference room and the Songtan branch office.
A city official stated, "We will establish a voluntary safety management system in which both workers and managers participate, creating a safer working environment."
