Yongdu 1 District to Be Transformed into a Future-Oriented Residential Complex with 243 Households

37-Story Eco-Friendly Residential Complex Planned
Residential Safety Comprehensive Center to Be Established

Yongdu 1 District 2 Zone, located near Cheongnyangni Station and Jegidong Station, will be transformed into a future-oriented residential complex with 243 households.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on September 5 that it held the 8th Integrated Review Committee for Redevelopment Projects and conditionally approved the review agenda for the "Yongdu 1 Redevelopment Promotion District Section 2 Urban Redevelopment Project" through an integrated review covering architecture, landscape, transportation, and fire safety.

The site boasts excellent transportation accessibility, being close to Cheongnyangni Station and Jegidong Station on Subway Line 1 and Yongdu Station on Line 2. With this decision, a 37-story residential complex with 243 households and neighborhood living facilities will be constructed on the site.

The residential complex will primarily feature national housing units (59 square meters) to ensure a diverse living environment. Notably, 11 units of the "Mirinae Home" program for newlywed couples will be included, which is expected to help stabilize housing for young people.

In addition, height standards reflecting local characteristics were applied in accordance with the "2040 Seoul Urban Master Plan." The plan aims to create a balanced cityscape by harmonizing the skyline with the high-rise buildings established in the Cheongnyangni Redevelopment Promotion District area.

To create an eco-friendly complex, renewable energy facilities such as solar power will be installed within the complex. The fifth-grade Zero Energy Building standard will also be proactively applied.

The complex will also house the "Residential Safety Comprehensive Center," operated by the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH), which will serve as a hub providing various housing welfare services to local residents, including vulnerable groups.

Choi Jinseok, Director of Housing at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "We expect that Yongdu 1 District 2 Zone will become a future-oriented residential complex with excellent transportation accessibility, housing welfare, and eco-friendliness, contributing to the improvement of the residential environment and regional development in the northeastern area."
