"Urges Public Officials to Take Ownership and Fulfill Their Responsibilities"
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 4th that it will be holding the '2026 Major Work Plan Report Meeting' from August 29 to September 16. The meeting targets all departments and affiliated organizations of Guri City to strategically advance next year's work.

During this report meeting, the city is conducting a comprehensive review of the progress and achievements of the 8th popularly elected administration's pledged projects, key initiatives, and major pending projects, based on the basic plans established by each department.
In particular, the meeting will focus on reporting core pending projects, including the 8th administration's pledged projects: the creation of the Guri Topyeong 2 Public Housing District Smart Green City, the stop of the GTX-B line at Galmae Station, the extension of Subway Line 6 to Guri City, the construction of Galmae IC, the restoration of the Inchangcheon Ecological Stream, and free shingles vaccinations for those aged 65 and older.
The city plans to closely analyze the achievements and limitations identified in the course of implementation so far, discuss concrete action plans and strategies to increase the likelihood of achieving the goals of projects to be fully promoted next year, and boldly revise or supplement any insufficient or lacking aspects in this process. Through this, the city aims to establish a more complete annual plan that will lead to tangible results.
This year's report meeting will be attended not only by 36 departments and 2 public corporations, but also by three foundations: the Guri City Commercial District Revitalization Foundation, the Guri City Youth Foundation, and the Guri Cultural Foundation. The goal is to systematically and thoroughly review various projects across all aspects of city administration.
