This meeting was organized to comprehensively review the achievements of various integrity policies implemented this year, share best practices, and develop supplementary measures for the future.
In particular, under the theme 'A Clean Gangwon We Create Together,' each department introduced its integrity initiatives through video presentations, and the Chairperson of the Audit Committee explained the annual achievements across the province.
Additionally, the Construction and Transportation Bureau and the Global Headquarters presented exemplary cases as representatives and shared them with other departments.
So far, the province has been implementing a variety of integrity policies at the nation's highest level and for the first time in Korea, such as introducing the 'Integrity Personal Mileage Performance System,' operating the 'Integrity Feedback System,' and launching the 'Anonymous Proxy Reporting System.'
Each department is also supporting the Integrity Notification Talk Service for contractors to enhance transparency in public services such as construction and service contracts, and expanding education to private subsidy recipients to strengthen the execution and supervision of subsidies.
Furthermore, to establish a culture of communication and understanding within the organization, the province has focused on improving internal integrity by introducing a desired position system for all employees, providing customized integrity training for each generation, conducting department-level training, and sharing integrity-related information.
Governor Jin-Tae Kim stated, "Integrity means everything we do in administration, including not only anti-corruption and conflict of interest prevention but also proactive governance," and added, "While Gangwon Province is calling on the central government to ease regulations, I hope you will carefully examine whether there are any practices that are actually causing inconvenience to our residents."
