Officer's sharp observation and quick action lead to capture after chance encounter during workout
A police officer, who was working out at a gym after work, demonstrated remarkable observation skills and quick thinking by apprehending a wanted fraud suspect whom he happened to encounter by chance.

On September 3, the official YouTube channel of the National Police Agency, "Korea National Police Agency," uploaded a video titled, "A wanted criminal (fraud suspect) at the gym I went to after work!"
The video shows Officer A, who was exercising at a gym in Incheon after work, drinking water in front of a water dispenser and closely observing a man standing next to him. Officer A recognized that the man he had run into by chance was a wanted suspect who had an arrest warrant issued for fraud and was on the run. This man had previously committed an investment fraud about six years ago and, earlier this year, was involved in a scam selling goods through a Telegram trading group.
Officer A discreetly moved away so as not to alert the suspect and called the police station for backup. He continued to monitor the suspect from a distance, sharing updates on the situation via his mobile phone. Whenever the suspect changed locations, Officer A followed him and kept him under surveillance, even going up and down the exercise machine known as the "Stairway to Heaven" to maintain a vantage point with a better view of the suspect.

Soon after, fellow police officers arrived and approached the suspect, who was on a treadmill. After confirming the man's name, the officers identified themselves and executed the arrest warrant. Thanks to the officer's keen observation and calm response, the fraud suspect was apprehended on the spot.
