This job fair was hosted by Pohang City and co-organized by the Pohang Women's Resources Development Center and the Pohang Saeil Work Center. More than 500 participants, including female job seekers and women returning to the workforce, attended, showing great interest.

Fifteen leading local companies, including Ireimom Pohang Branch, Siemens Healthineers, and the Pohang Branch of the Korea Spinal Cord Injury Association Gyeongbuk Chapter, participated and conducted on-site consultations with plans to hire 67 people. Over 200 female job seekers had the opportunity to take on-the-spot interviews.

In addition, 15 related organizations, such as the Handong University Job Plus Center, Pohang Employment Welfare Plus Center, and the Middle-aged Tomorrow Center, joined to provide customized employment services, including job counseling, resume and cover letter consulting, and guidance on the National Employment Support System. Six flea markets were also operated to support women entrepreneurs.

In particular, the 'Employment Tarot,' a career tendency assessment program using tarot cards, and the 'Organizing and Storage Consulting' session, where participants learned from experts how to utilize living spaces, received enthusiastic responses from attendees.

Various side events were also prepared, including a 'Life Four Cuts' photo zone, a booth for taking ID photos, and a VR job experience zone. A childcare space for accompanying children was operated, allowing women job seekers with children to participate in the fair with peace of mind, which was highly appreciated.

Suh Jaewon, Special Advisor to the Mayor of Pohang City, stated, "We hope this job fair will develop into a comprehensive support platform that goes beyond simple job matching to support women's social and economic independence. We will continue to promote various policies that connect women's career development with revitalizing the local economy."

Since being designated as the first women-friendly city in Gyeongbuk in 2013, Pohang City has been recognized as a three-time consecutive designated city and has consistently implemented policies to expand women's social and economic participation and to promote work-life balance.

This job fair served as an opportunity to confirm the diverse policy effects of creating jobs for women, securing talent for companies, and strengthening care infrastructure all in one place. It is also expected to become another starting point for building a women-friendly local community in the future.
