President Lee's Approval Rating Rises by 5 Percentage Points in Two Weeks
62% Say Administration Is "Moving in the Right Direction" According to Latest Poll
A public opinion poll released on September 4 showed that 62% of respondents positively evaluated President Lee Jaemyung's administration.
According to the National Barometer Survey (NBS), conducted nationwide by Embrain Public, KSTAT Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research from September 1 to 3 and released on the same day, 62% of respondents gave a positive assessment of President Lee's administration.
This figure represents a 5 percentage point increase compared to the previous survey conducted two weeks earlier (August 18-20).
The proportion of respondents with a negative view of President Lee's administration was 28%, down 5 percentage points from the previous survey.
When asked about the direction of state affairs, 62% said the country was "headed in the right direction," while 31% responded that it was "headed in the wrong direction."
By political orientation, 91% of progressives and 65% of moderates answered that the country was "headed in the right direction." Among conservatives, 69% said it was "headed in the wrong direction."
This survey was conducted with 1,005 men and women aged 18 and older, using telephone interviews with 100% mobile virtual numbers. The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level, and the response rate was 14.4%.
