On September 4, Ansan City announced that it had presented a commendation for exemplary citizenship to Hyungmo Kim and Mihye Noh, who rescued the family at the scene of the accident.

According to the city, the vehicle rollover accident occurred on the 2nd of last month near the pedestrian overpass in Bugok-dong, Sangnok-gu. The accident caused the vehicle to flip over completely, trapping a family of four inside, including two parents and their two underage children.

Kim and Noh, who were driving behind the vehicle, witnessed the accident and immediately stopped their car and rushed to the scene. After calling emergency services (119), they, along with ten other citizens who stopped at the scene, lifted the overturned vehicle with their bare hands and rescued all the occupants.

Even after the rescue, they worked to prevent secondary accidents by directing traffic and securing safety around the site. Once the family was handed over to the police and fire authorities, it was reported that Kim and Noh quietly left the scene.
