On September 4, it was confirmed that Kim Keonhee, the wife of former President Yoon Sukyeol, whose master's degree was revoked due to plagiarism, has ultimately also been stripped of her teaching qualification.
According to the education sector, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education recently completed the relevant procedures, including a hearing, and decided to revoke Kim's Level 2 Secondary School Teacher Certificate.
Kim, who is currently detained at the Seoul Southern Detention Center, did not attend the hearing and reportedly did not submit any written opinion.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has notified Kim's side through the Seoul Southern Detention Center to review the hearing results and the official record.
If Kim does not file an objection to the outcome, the revocation of her teaching qualification will be finalized. The Ministry of Education, Sookmyung Women's University-which is the institution responsible for issuing teaching certificates-and Kim's side will then be notified of the final decision.
