National Assembly and Jeju Province to Hold Policy Forum on Green Hydrogen Value Chain

The National Assembly Hydrogen Economy Forum (led by Assemblymen Lee Jongbae and Jung Taeho), the National Assembly Future Vision Forum (led by Assemblyman Cho Jungshik), and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will jointly host a policy discussion session titled "Policy Forum to Strengthen the Green Hydrogen Value Chain in Korea" at 3:00 p.m. on September 8 at the National Assembly Experience Center (2nd floor of the Constitutional Memorial Hall). The event will focus on the advancement of the entire green hydrogen ecosystem, international cooperation, and securing market opportunities.

This forum has been organized to discuss ways to activate the hydrogen economy, bringing together National Assembly research groups and local governments. The Korea Hydrogen Alliance will serve as the main organizer.

During the keynote presentations, Kwon Hyuncheol, Director of the Hydrogen Industry Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, will speak on "The Direction of Korea's Hydrogen Industry Development and International Cooperation Strategies." Han Seungkwan, an expert in international cooperation and CEO of Modadrung, will present "Africa's Vision and Potential as an International Cooperation Partner." Jeong Kiseok, Executive Director at Samsung C&T, will discuss "Global Cooperation and Business Vision and Direction."

Following the keynote presentations, a comprehensive panel discussion will take place, chaired by Professor Yoon Jaeyong of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Seoul National University. Panelists will include Mr. Jona Musheko, Manager of the Namibia Green Hydrogen Program; Lim Hyoseon, Director of Africa Division 1 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ko Yoonjoo, Executive Vice President at LG Chem; Kim Seongsu, Director of the Europe Africa Research Institute at Hanyang University; Kang Seongui, Assemblyman of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council; and Ko Yunseong, Director of Future Growth at Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The participants are expected to exchange a wide range of opinions on activating the hydrogen economy and expanding international cooperation.
