Lee Junseok, leader of the Reform New Party, expressed solidarity with Assemblyman Ahn Cheolsoo of the People Power Party, stating, "There is much to discuss because the path he has shown and the direction he wants to go in are aligned." Although they were once considered rivals, their shared opposition to former President Yoon Sukyeol's martial law and their common background in the IT sector have brought their similarities to the forefront.

During the last presidential election, Ahn Cheolsoo personally visited the university where Lee Junseok, then the Reform New Party's presidential candidate, was campaigning to discuss a potential single candidacy, leading to a rapid improvement in their relationship.

On the 4th, appearing on YTN Radio's "Kim Youngsoo's The Interview," Lee Junseok responded to a question about whether he could work with like-minded Assembly members within the People Power Party, such as Ahn Cheolsoo, by saying the following.

Lee stated, "The actions Assemblyman Ahn Cheolsoo has taken since the martial law have been very clear and are aligned with my direction, which is why I am very interested in him. Also, geographically, if you look at Pangyo and Dongtan, they are the central hubs of IT in Korea."

He added, "As a result, there is a lot for us to discuss. I am quite familiar with most of the People Power Party Assembly members-I even know how many spoons there are in that party. Among them, those who are reasonable and have not been tainted during the martial law or impeachment process will be prioritized for conversations."

Lee Junseok also reiterated his thoughts on Cho Kuk, head of the Innovation Policy Research Institute at the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, with whom he has recently engaged in ongoing debates.

Lee stated, "The Cho Kuk Innovation Party is not a party that split from the Democratic Party due to political disagreements; rather, it is a party similar to the Democratic Party, centered around Cho Kuk. Since it is awkward for them to criticize President Lee Jaemyung, they keep saying they will eliminate the People Power Party and are hostile toward the 2030 generation."

He continued, "I'm the only ingredient they have. To attract attention, they will continue attacking the 2030 generation and the People Power Party. They are laying the groundwork for Democratic Party supporters by saying, 'We are a party that attacks the People Power Party and the 2030 generation, so don't see us as a force different from the Democratic Party, and even if we compete with the Democratic Party in the upcoming local elections, don't criticize us.' He pointed out that perhaps because they arrived earlier than scheduled, they seemed unprepared for proper communication and correction."
