Korean: More Difficult Than June and Last Year's CSAT
Mathematics: Overall Trend Maintained, Slight Increase in Difficulty
English: Moderate for Details, Challenging for Blank Insertion
16,574 Students in Gwangju Took the Test... 672 More Than in June

In the September mock exam, Korean was found to be somewhat difficult, mathematics was moderate, and English included some high-difficulty questions that increased the level of differentiation. The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced the analysis of test trends on the 4th, based on the results of 16,574 local students who took the exam the previous day.

This mock assessment was held from 8:40 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at 66 high schools and 22 private academy test centers in the Gwangju area. The total number of test-takers was 16,574, consisting of 14,365 current third-year high school students and 2,209 graduates, which is an increase of 672 compared to the June mock assessment.

The Korean section was more difficult than the June mock assessment and also somewhat harder than last year's College Scholastic Ability Test. There were no so-called "killer" questions, and although some questions were linked to EBS textbooks, most were only indirectly related. In the common subject "Reading," a variety of passages were used, including those on society, science, and technology. The "Literature" section featured questions from a range of genres, such as classical novels, modern poetry, classical poetry, and modern novels. Some questions were designed to differentiate students' abilities.

Mathematics generally maintained a similar trend to the June mock assessment, but the difficulty level of some questions increased slightly. Multiple-answer and fill-in-the-blank types reappeared, and high-difficulty questions included those related to exponential and logarithmic functions, as well as inference questions on shapes and functions. No questions on the inductive definition of sequences were included. The elective subjects were somewhat heavier than in June, and the scope of questions expanded to cover all areas.

The English section maintained a similar level to last year's College Scholastic Ability Test but was more difficult than the June mock assessment. Questions on identifying the main topic and specific details were moderate, but the difficulty was higher for blank inference, sentence insertion, and text sequencing. Overall, the linkage rate with EBS was maintained, and the test was designed to measure comprehensive reading skills through a variety of passages.

The Office of Education stated that, based on this analysis, test-takers should focus on accurate reading comprehension, studying all subject areas, and practicing time management during the remaining period.
