Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Holds 1st Extraordinary General Meeting for "Find the Golden Wild Ginseng" Event

All-Out Final Preparations Underway for the 20th Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival
Unique Programs and Attractions Exclusive to Hamyang Await Visitors

The Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Committee in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 4th that it held its 1st Extraordinary General Meeting in the main conference room of the county office, with around 70 festival committee members and others in attendance.

The meeting, held about two weeks before the festival, reviewed and approved detailed implementation plans and the budget for the festival, and began the final inspection of preparations at the festival site.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival is preparing unique programs that can only be experienced in Hamyang, including its signature events such as "Find the Golden Wild Ginseng," "Wild Ginseng Harvesting," as well as "Sanmak Night," and "Health & Healing Anti-Aging Experience."

Additionally, a wild ginseng market, a local agricultural specialty promotional and sales hall, a local cuisine zone, a family & pet zone, and a community market zone will welcome visitors throughout the festival period.

Festival Committee Chairman Lee Hyunjae stated, "Although the festival schedule is shorter than last year, we have added more core programs and new attractions. We are preparing a festival that will bring joy to young people and fond memories to seniors."

Deputy County Governor Baek Samjong requested, "Through this festival, please do your utmost to widely promote the excellence of Hamyang wild ginseng nationwide and ensure that both residents and visitors can enjoy the festival safely."

Meanwhile, marking its 20th edition this year, the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival will be held from September 18 to 22 at Sangnim Park and its surrounding area, featuring a variety of performances and a special 20th anniversary appreciation event.
