This project provides non-face-to-face health management services for six months to seniors aged 65 and older who are able to use smartphones. It offers a variety of missions and activities to help establish healthy lifestyle habits and promote physical activity.
The 'Our Neighborhood Walking King' awards were based on the step counts of seniors, which were recorded and managed through an app during the month of August. One senior from each of the eight towns and townships in Cheongsong County who participated most actively was selected, making a total of eight awardees. During the event period, the average number of steps per participant increased by 58% compared to the previous month, demonstrating high engagement and positive response, and highlighting new possibilities for senior health management.
At the awards ceremony, each of the eight walking kings representing their respective towns and townships received a certificate and a commemorative gift. Afterwards, participants freely shared their thoughts and provided feedback on the program, concluding the event in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "It is very meaningful that health management projects utilizing digital technology are bringing positive changes to the daily lives of seniors," and added, "We will continue to expand various health support policies so that seniors can enjoy healthier and more vibrant lives."
