On September 3, Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sangjin) announced that, together with the Seongnam Commercial District Revitalization Foundation and Mnet, it will host the 'National Sparkle Tour' at 8 p.m. on September 4 at the Bundang District Office Lawn Plaza. This event is a joint public-private project aimed at promoting Seongnam's tourist attractions and specialty products to K-pop fans and revitalizing the local economy.
During the event, RIIZE will introduce Seongnam's landmarks and hold a 'Sparkle Pop-up' where they will sell roses, a representative product of Seongnam's flower farms. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to Seongnam City. Additionally, at the 'Sparkle Pop-up,' fans can receive both a rose and a concert ticket for 990 won, which is expected to generate an enthusiastic response.
This performance is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the second anniversary of RIIZE's debut, making it a special occasion for both the group and their fans. The event will be recorded and is scheduled to air on Mnet on September 16.
Further details about the 'National Sparkle Tour' can be found on Mnet's official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts.
This event is expected to heighten the festive atmosphere ahead of the 'Seongnam Festival,' which will take place from September 19 to 28.
Shin Sangjin, Mayor of Seongnam, stated, "Through the Mnet Idol Festa Grand Operation 'National Sparkle Tour,' I hope we can naturally introduce Seongnam's culture and tourism resources to K-pop fans around the world. I also hope this will lead to increased tourism demand and local economic revitalization, as well as greater interest and participation in regional festivals such as the 'Seongnam Festival.'
