SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv Showcase Advanced Weapons Systems in Poland
Targeting NATO: Expanding K-Defense Exports Through Global Joint Technology Marketing
Two main weapons systems from SNT, a global defense company from South Korea, have been showcased side by side in Poland. This move targets the gateway to advanced global defense markets, including NATO.
SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv announced that they are jointly participating in the "MSPO 2025" International Defense Industry Exhibition, which is being held in Kielce, Poland, from September 2 to 5 (local time).
The "MSPO 2025" International Defense Industry Exhibition is officially sponsored by the Polish Presidential Office and Ministry of Defense, and is considered one of the three largest defense exhibitions in Europe, alongside "DSEI" in the United Kingdom and "Eurosatory" in France.
The two companies plan to use this exhibition to strengthen their global joint technology marketing strategy, aiming to expand exports of Korean defense products to the NATO defense market.
At the exhibition, SNT Dynamics displayed a domestically developed 1,700-horsepower power pack for main battle tanks, a triple-barrel 20mm Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS), a 120mm mortar system mounted on a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), and a 12.7mm K6 heavy machine gun.
The 1,700-horsepower power pack for main battle tanks is the heart of the tank, combining SNT Dynamics' world-first 6-speed forward, 3-speed reverse automatic transmission with an engine from HD Hyundai Infracore. After beginning exports of the Altay tank power pack to Turkiye in 2024, the company also signed a 133.7 billion won contract with the South Korean government in February 2025 for the fourth batch production of K2 tanks, demonstrating its outstanding performance both domestically and internationally.
The triple-barrel 20mm RCWS is a next-generation multi-purpose weapon system applicable to both maritime and land Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) platforms. It features automatic target detection and tracking, and can be integrated with defense AI, making it a key combat element for future battlefield environments and attracting significant attention.
SNT Motiv highlighted the STC16A1 rifle, an improved version of the K13 submachine gun for special operations. The company also introduced the STSR23 semi-automatic sniper rifle, which offers various barrel options for both mid- to long-range suppression fire and close-quarters combat. Other new firearms on display included the STSR20 anti-materiel sniper rifle, capable of precision strikes against vehicles and light armored vehicles and engaging long-range targets, as well as the STSM21 submachine gun, which features modular design and reduced weight for improved operability and convenience.
In addition, SNT Motiv showcased a range of small-caliber firearms such as the K2C rifle, K13 submachine gun for special operations, K4 automatic grenade launcher, K15 PARA machine gun, and the K16 machine gun series, capturing the attention of military officials from abroad.
An SNT representative stated, "Through our participation in this exhibition, we will actively promote SNT's 50 years of defense technology and R&D capabilities to the global defense market, including NATO countries. Furthermore, we will work with the government and system integrators to actively pursue global one-team marketing, so that Korean defense products can expand their export scope to include defense solution services such as Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and Integrated Product Support (IPS)."
Poland is a key strategic market for Korean defense exports, with large-scale deals for the K2 main battle tank and K9 self-propelled howitzer amounting to several trillion won. It serves as an important gateway for entering advanced defense markets such as NATO.
