Strategies for Global Expansion of Jeju SMEs Outlined
The Jeju Branch of the Inno-Biz Association announced on September 3, 2025, that it held the "2025 Extraordinary General Meeting and the Inauguration Ceremony for the 8th and 9th Presidents" at Tamna Hall, Camphortree Hotel & Resort in Jeju City.
Bonghyun Kim, who officially took office as the 9th president of the Jeju Branch, stated in his inauguration speech that he would "strengthen the network of the Inno-Biz Jeju Branch and establish practical and sustainable support measures to enhance the competitiveness of the 90 member companies." He also presented detailed strategies for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Jeju and their entry into the global market.
The new president, Kim, is recognized as an entrepreneur who has led the modernization of agriculture and the promotion of traditional industries in the Jeju region. His company, Jeju Wellbeing Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, has achieved success in connecting local specialty products to the global market. The association expects that this leadership transition will contribute to its vision of global expansion.
Jung Kwangcheon, President of the Inno-Biz Association, stated, "Jeju is a key region encompassing South Korea's future strategy," and added, "Just as symbolic international events like the APEC Ministerial Meeting are held in Jeju, the Jeju Branch aims to establish itself as a hub of global technological innovation, expanding opportunities for Inno-Biz companies to connect with the world."
