October 8-12: Linked to the 2025 Year of Visits to Imsil
A Rich Array of Attractions Including Food Fair and Dessert Fondue Experiences
Jeonbuk Imsil-gun is accelerating preparations to ensure the successful hosting of the 2025 Imsil N Cheese Festival, which will be held as a special five-day event this year instead of the usual four, in celebration of the Year of Visits.
According to the county on the 3rd, the previous day, County Governor Sim Min presided over the second preparation briefing for the 2025 Imsil N Cheese Festival. The meeting was attended by more than 30 participants, including heads of each department, the festival committee, event agencies, and heads of related organizations, to review and check the progress of plans in each area.

During the briefing, participants reviewed action plans for each sector and focused on various discussions to enhance the overall quality of the festival, including tourist safety measures, convenience facilities, and program composition.
Now in its 11th year, the Imsil N Cheese Festival will offer even more distinctive and attractive content in line with the Year of Visits to Imsil. The festival aims to provide unique sights and hands-on experiences, as well as ensure visitors enjoy a comfortable and pleasant event by offering a variety of convenient services.
Additionally, the festival period has been extended by one day, from the usual four to five days, and will take place from October 8 to 12, presenting a richer array of programs to further boost visitor satisfaction.
In particular, the county is preparing a wider range of unique attractions and experiences for the 2025 Year of Visits, such as newly enhanced programs featuring aged cheese made from high-quality, nutrient-rich Jersey cow milk, and unsweetened yogurt, which is beneficial for adult diets and bone health.
The main programs will also be significantly expanded, with more than 70 programs across 10 categories, including the Imsil N Global Cheese Food Fair, a delicious dessert fondue experience using aged cheese, the national Imsil N Cheese giant rice pizza, and premium aged cheese promotions using Jersey milk.
In addition, the festival grounds will once again be adorned with ten million chrysanthemum blooms, a highlight that receives enthusiastic responses every year, and will be complemented by a European-style rose garden to create a truly enchanting spectacle.
The festival will also feature a wide variety of attractions and activities, including premium Korean beef raised in the pristine environment of Imsil, and homemade local foods lovingly prepared by the township and town women's improvement associations, ensuring that people of all generations can enjoy the event together.
County Governor Sim Min stated, "This year is especially meaningful as it marks both the Year of Visits to Imsil and the 11th anniversary of the festival. We are preparing a lineup filled with Imsil's unique charm and a wealth of differentiated experiences. I hope many people will join us to fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere and the celebration of cheese."
