On September 3, the National Tax Service announced that, together with the "Future Innovation Promotion Team" launched last month to establish a future blueprint for national tax administration, it will recruit members for the "Online National Tax Advisory Panel," which will develop innovation initiatives from the public's perspective.
The Online National Tax Advisory Panel plans to recruit a total of 100 members, with 20 people assigned to each of the five divisions of the Future Innovation Promotion Team (AI Transformation, System Improvement, Tax Justice, Public Support, and National Tax Information). The panel will propose the future direction of national tax administration from the perspective of ordinary taxpayers and provide a wide range of practical suggestions for improving innovation initiatives.
The application period runs until September 15. Applicants can download the application form from the National Tax Service website and submit it via email. Any Korean citizen interested in the development of future national tax administration is eligible to apply. The National Tax Service will select panel members by considering a balanced mix of occupation, age, and gender among the applicants.
The activity period for the Online National Tax Advisory Panel will run from the end of the recruitment process until the conclusion of the Future Innovation Promotion Team's operation at the end of this year. To gather a wide range of opinions, the panel will operate online and in a non-face-to-face format. Selected panel members will receive a certain amount of activity compensation, and outstanding participants will be awarded an official commendation from the National Tax Service.
The National Tax Service plans to actively reflect the voices of taxpayers and field personnel collected through the Online National Tax Advisory Panel in the "Comprehensive Plan for Future Innovation of the National Tax Service."
