According to Reuters and other sources, President Trump said in a radio interview that day, "They will not use military force against the United States," expressing his confidence on the matter.

On the same day, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a summit at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing for the first time in four months, demonstrating the close bond between the two countries. Foreign media outlets assessed that China and Russia are now actively working to strengthen their anti-U.S. alliance.

In addition, at the large-scale military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day to be held in Beijing, China, on the 3rd, President Xi Jinping, President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un will gather together for the first time since the end of the Cold War.

When asked by reporters at the White House whether he saw the growing closeness among North Korea, China, and Russia as a challenge or as a potential check against the United States, President Trump replied, "Not at all."

He further stated, "China needs us (the United States). I have a very good relationship with President Xi Jinping, but China needs us far more than we need them."

However, in the radio interview, President Trump expressed his disappointment with President Putin for being uncooperative in the peace negotiations he is seeking to host, saying, "I am very disappointed." He added, "We are going to do something to help the people (of Ukraine) survive." Nevertheless, when asked during a White House press briefing whether he had spoken with President Putin regarding peace talks to end the war in Ukraine, President Trump said, "I have figured out some very interesting things. We will find out in the next few days."

Previously, President Trump met with President Putin in Alaska last month and attempted to arrange a bilateral summit between him and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but President Putin has continued his offensive against Ukraine and has not agreed to the talks.

Meanwhile, President Trump announced the relocation of the U.S. Space Command from Colorado to Alabama. Colorado and Alabama have competed for years to host the Space Command to boost their local economies. Former President Joe Biden had previously decided to keep it in Colorado, but President Trump reversed this decision and confirmed the move to Alabama, in what is being seen as an effort to undo Biden-era policies. Alabama is a Republican stronghold, while Colorado is known for its strong Democratic support.
