Through this agreement, the two companies plan to review and improve the safety system of POSCO Group’s construction division. They aim to begin a safety assessment of POSCO E&C within this month. Additionally, they have agreed to collaborate on the establishment of a safety-specialized company that POSCO Group is currently pursuing.
Inhwa Jang, Chairman of POSCO Group, stated, “We will create a workplace where all employees can work safely by innovating our systems, culture, and technology.” On the same day, Chairman Jang also met with dss+, another global safety consulting company, to discuss group-wide cooperation on safety solutions. Last month, he visited Europe to review the latest safety management techniques and leading European safety management policies with SGS.
Meanwhile, POSCO Group is considering establishing a company specializing in AI-based smart safety solutions, including benchmarking global companies and pursuing mergers and acquisitions.
