The German IAA is Europe's largest comprehensive mobility exhibition, relaunched in Munich in 2021 after the Frankfurt Motor Show, formerly one of the world's four major motor shows, moved its venue. Since its first participation in 2021, Hyundai Mobis has set up an exhibition booth at every event.
This year, in the public area where general visitors can freely move about, Hyundai Mobis will showcase its advanced electronics technology, the "Holographic Windshield Display (HWD)," applied to Kia's flagship electric vehicle, the EV9. This flagship display technology from Hyundai Mobis uses the entire car window, coated with a special film, as a screen to vividly display various user interfaces such as driving information, navigation, and playlists. Visitors to the booth will be offered immersive ride experiences and demonstrations, aiming to attract new customers.
In addition, at a private booth for global clients, Hyundai Mobis will introduce customized products to achieve new orders. The company will highlight its integrated solution core technologies covering electronics, chassis, and autonomous driving to target global contracts. The main focus will be the "Integrated SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) Solution," which combines software platforms and hardware products, centered on autonomous driving (Level 2+) and integrated parking controllers, both of which are seeing increased demand in the European market.
Hyundai Mobis will also showcase its extensive battery system portfolio, representing its electrification capabilities, including electric vehicle battery systems (BSA), hybrid battery systems (HEV BSA), and plug-in hybrid battery systems (PHEV BSA). Other exhibits will include the "EDU 3-in-1," an integrated module combining drive motor, inverter, and reducer; the integrated charging control unit (ICCU) with various lineups for different vehicle specifications; and the "In-Wheel System," which integrates electric motors, brakes, and gears into each wheel, enabling independent four-wheel drive. In addition, the company will present innovative display and lamp technologies, including the futuristic digital cockpit "M.VICS 6.0," which has been unveiled annually.
A Hyundai Mobis representative stated, "During the exhibition, we will invite European automaker clients such as Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz to highlight our diverse technological competitiveness and mass production capabilities, and we will seek further business cooperation."
Meanwhile, on the 9th, Hyundai Mobis will also hold a media forum at the official exhibition venue, Messe Munich Hall A1. Axel Maschka, Executive Vice President and Head of Sales, will give a presentation sharing Hyundai Mobis's business status in Europe and globally, introducing future directions for core technologies and examples of global automaker contracts.
