Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 on the European stage. The company emphasized an AI experience optimized for large screens and enhanced productivity. This marks the first Galaxy product launch in Europe in 11 years since the company introduced a new Galaxy device in Germany in 2014, delivering a symbolic message of its intent to strengthen its presence in the European market.

On September 4 (local time), Samsung Electronics introduced two new models of the Galaxy Tab S11 series at the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) 2025 held in Berlin, Germany. Based on One UI 8 and multimodal AI, the devices can efficiently process a variety of inputs, including text, images, voice, and video. Through Gemini Live, users can summarize and save necessary information to notes by sharing their screen or camera, and even perform complex tasks easily with a side button shortcut. Features optimized for large screens, such as Drawing Assist, Writing Assist, and real-time translation based on Circle to Search, have also been included.

The S Pen features a new design with a hexagonal structure and a conical pen tip, improving grip and drawing experience, and supporting a quick tool bar. The enhanced Samsung Dex introduces an extended mode for the first time, allowing users to split the screen with an external monitor. Up to four virtual workspaces can be created. Samsung Dex is a feature that enables the device to be used as a portable workstation by connecting it to external displays and other devices.

Performance has also been enhanced. For the first time in the Galaxy Tab series, a 3nm (1nm = one billionth of a meter) processor has been installed. Compared to the previous model, CPU performance has been improved by 24%, GPU by 27%, and NPU by 33%.

In particular, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra features the thinnest design in the series' history, with a thickness of just 5.1mm. In addition, it is equipped with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, offering up to 1600 nits of brightness for improved outdoor visibility. Third-party applications such as GoodNotes, Clip Studio, LumaFusion, and Notion are also supported. One UI 8, which debuts on the Galaxy Tab S11 series, will be gradually rolled out to previous-generation devices, including the Galaxy Tab S10 series, starting in October this year.

The devices will be available in two colors, gray and silver, and will be released domestically on September 19. Some high-end models will be sold exclusively on Samsung.com. On September 8, Samsung Electronics will recruit an AI experience group for one day, offering selected users the opportunity to try out the new products in advance.
