Suncheon National University Archery Team Achieves Remarkable Success with Four Medals at National Competition The archery team of Suncheon National University achieved great success by winning a total of four medals, including one gold, two silver, and one bronze, at the "42nd President's National University and Corporate Archery Competition" held from the 25th to the 30th of last month at the Kim Sunyoung Archery Field in Cheongju, Chungbuk. The archery team of Suncheon National University (President Lee Byungwoon) achieved remarkable success by winning a total of four medals-one gold, two silver, and one bronze-at the "42nd President's National University and Corporate Archery Competition" held from August 25 to 30 at the Kim Sunyoung Archery Field in Cheongju, Chungbuk.


In particular, in the women's 70m single event, freshman Kim Seoha claimed the gold medal with a score of 342 points, while junior Seo Boeun secured the silver medal with 341 points, marking a promising start. In the subsequent individual main tournament, Seo Boeun advanced to the semifinals and added a bronze medal to her achievements.


New archery talents who are expected to follow in the footsteps of Nam Suhyeon, the Suncheon City Hall archer and Paris Olympic gold medalist, are being nurtured by the Suncheon National University archery team, raising expectations for the future.


The Suncheon National University archery team demonstrated its prowess as a prestigious powerhouse by collecting four medals across both individual and team events, once again proving its reputation on the national stage. Archery team coach Kim Moonseon stated, "This was an opportunity for the athletes to build confidence and gain real-world experience," and added, "We will focus on managing the athletes' condition and training so they can perform at their best in the upcoming 106th National Sports Festival."


Meanwhile, President Lee Byungwoon of Suncheon National University said, "We plan to continue providing extensive support to the archery team and other athletic teams by establishing a systematic training environment to strengthen student capabilities and expand the base of local sports through university athletics."
