"Revival of a Militant Union"… Fifth Shinangun Government Employees' Union Inaugurated The Shinangun Government Employees Labor Union officially began its union activities through an inauguration ceremony held on the 2nd.

On September 2, the Shinangun County Government Employees' Labor Union in South Jeolla Province officially announced the inauguration of its fifth executive committee.


The union held an inauguration ceremony that day at the performance hall on the second floor of the Shinangun County Office, launching a new beginning under the slogan, "A Brighter Tomorrow Than Today! An Active Labor Union!"


The ceremony was attended by union-affiliated public officials, former Chairman Choi Seongeun, and previous chairmen Ki Hyuk, Kim Daehwan, and Kwon Hyeonho, who congratulated the new executive committee. Political figures such as Minister of Unification Jeong Dongyoung and Assemblymen Seo Samseok and Kim Woni also sent congratulatory messages to mark the occasion.


Prior to the ceremony, Shinangun's representative band STOP took the stage, delivering a diverse performance that heightened the atmosphere.


In his inaugural address, newly appointed Chairman Yoon Hohyeon stated, "We are embarking on a new journey to create a public service community where union members are respected," emphasizing, "I will do my utmost to enhance the rights and interests of union members and to promote organizational unity."


With this inauguration, the union plans to actively pursue various initiatives aimed at improving member welfare, enhancing working conditions, and establishing a fair public service environment. The union has set blocking external interference and ensuring fairness in personnel management as its top priorities, and has made clear its strong stance to defend the rights and human rights of its members.


Chairman Yoon also pledged to uphold the union's tradition of strong advocacy and to maintain transparency and fairness in public service based on the trust of county residents.


Furthermore, the union announced its intention to take a firm stance against issues such as the normalization of the job rotation system, performance-based personnel management, post-appointment placements, external interference in personnel matters, verbal abuse and power harassment targeting public officials, and various forms of corruption.
