Chairman Cho Seongdae and city council members attending the briefing session received sequential reports from senior officials, including bureau and department heads, on major current issues being pursued by the executive branch and matters related to ordinance amendments. They then took time to discuss the reported agenda items.

The main issues reported included four items under the Planning and Coordination Office, such as the second supplementary budget bill for 2025; an ordinance amendment bill under the Department of Finance and Economy regarding the promotion and attraction of business activities in Namyangju City; a proposal under the Welfare Department for a contribution to the Namyangju City Welfare Foundation for 2026; and a business agreement under the Transportation Department for the establishment of a freight parking lot. In total, 20 items were reported.

In particular, the council members urged the executive branch to ensure transparency when selecting companies for private consignment projects and requested that all items requiring council approval be thoroughly included without omission.

During the subsequent meeting with all council members, the operations specialist reported on the schedule for the 314th extraordinary session, the second supplementary budget bill for 2025, and the implementation of live YouTube broadcasts of standing committee meetings.

Meanwhile, the Namyangju City Council plans to convene the 314th extraordinary session for 14 days starting from September 11, during which it will review the second supplementary budget bill for 2025 and proposed ordinance bills submitted by the executive branch.
