On August 29, Osan City announced that it held the final report meeting for the research service to establish the '2nd Basic Plan for Youth Policy of Osan City' at City Hall, where the direction and detailed tasks of youth policy were discussed.

The plan, which is a statutory requirement to be established every five years under the 'Osan City Youth Basic Ordinance,' will serve as the fundamental framework for the city's youth policies from next year until 2030. It was developed over a six-month period starting in March this year, through surveys on the current status of youth, analysis of policy demand, and in-depth interviews.

At the report meeting, the basic plan presented the vision of "Change Led by Youth, Osan as a Youth-Centered City," and proposed a total of 47 detailed projects across five areas: employment, education and culture, housing, welfare and finance, and participation and rights.

In particular, the plan includes new projects such as operating a youth freelancer talent pool, establishing the second branch of the Youth Center Irujob, providing marriage incentives for young couples, supporting moving expenses for youth, building a youth policy portal, and operating the Youth LAB youth policy laboratory.

The city plans to finalize the plan after reviewing the research findings.

Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan City, stated, "We will continue to incorporate the opinions of various stakeholders to ensure that our policies have a tangible impact on areas closely related to the lives of young people," adding, "We will spare no effort to support young people so they can realize their dreams and plan for their future in Osan."
