Reaffirm Commitment to the "Nongshim Cheonsim Movement"
Aiming for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Revitalization
Gyeongnam Nonghyup announced that the heads of affiliated corporations and subsidiaries across the Nonghyup network have reaffirmed their commitment to the new agricultural and rural movement, the "Nongshim Cheonsim Movement," and pledged to spread its values.
Through this movement, which carries the meaning "the heart of farmers is the will of heaven," they expressed their determination to transform Nonghyup into an organization loved by both farmers and the public.
On September 1, during the resolution ceremony, participants agreed to empathize with the hearts of farmers, innovate the agricultural distribution structure, and actively cooperate to enhance the value of agriculture.
In particular, they pledged to carry out practical business initiatives and volunteer activities to overcome the challenges facing agriculture and rural communities and to achieve sustainable growth.
The "Nongshim Cheonsim Movement" is a nationwide campaign that inherits and advances Nonghyup’s previous "Shintoburi" and "Nongdoburi" movements. Its goals are to build public consensus on the value of agriculture and rural areas, increase agricultural income, and revitalize rural communities, ultimately realizing sustainable agriculture and rural development. Nonghyup National Headquarters officially launched this movement at its 64th anniversary ceremony this year.
Ryu Gilnyeon, head of the headquarters, emphasized, "The Nongshim Cheonsim Movement is a shared mission to create a Nonghyup where farmers are happy and trusted by the public. Gyeongnam Nonghyup will mobilize the full strength of the Nonghyup network to participate in and expand this movement."
